LACC Haitian Summer Institute K-14 Educator Grant
The LACC Haitian Summer Institute K-14 Educator Grant is a scholarship for educators enrolling in the Haitian Summer Institute that demonstrate a need to gain enhanced exposure to and understanding of Haiti and Haitian Creole.
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $200-$2,500 by a committee comprised of individuals from the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at FIU. Awards will be credited to your FIU student account by the Financial Aid Office. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision regarding awarding of the LACC Haitian Summer Institute K-14 Educator Grant via e-mail. A limited number of scholarships are available.
Who is eligible?
• Currently employed as a K-14 educator
• Demonstrated need to gain enhanced exposure to and understanding of Haiti and Haitian Creole
What are the basic requirements to apply?
• Accepted into the Haitian Summer Institute
