ARGENTINA: INTERNATIONAL POP CULTURE– THE ARGENTINE EDITION
December 12 – December 22, 2026
LACC’s International Pop Culture: The Argentine Edition study abroad program is an intensive ten-day journey into the vibrant heart of Argentina’s cultural identity! This unique program takes you to Buenos Aires, one of the world’s most dynamic and beautiful cities, where you will explore the evolution of Argentine identity through its rich popular culture, traditions, and contemporary life.
This program examines how cultural expressions—such as Argentine tango, rock nacional, national icons, and sports —have shaped Argentina’s identity, resilience, and political expression. Students will also analyze contemporary Argentina, exploring how traditions, media, food, music, and grassroots activism continue to define its unique Euro–Latin American heritage in a globalized world.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION
Known as one of the world’s most dynamic and beautiful cities, Buenos Aires offers a rich cultural landscape shaped by European and Latin American influences. Students will explore the city’s diverse neighborhoods, from the artistic and trend-setting Palermo to the historic charm of San Telmo and the colorful streets of La Boca.
Program activities include visits to iconic cultural and historical landmarks such as Museo Evita, Planetario Galileo Galilei, and Usina del Arte, as well as participation in the famous San Telmo fair. Students will also attend a guided visit at the renowned Teatro Colón and experience a traditional Fileteado porteño tour.
