22nd TRI-UNIVERSITY GRADUATE CONFERENCE Voices of the Americas: Rethinking the Story
On March 22, LACC had the pleasure of hosting the 22nd annual Tri-University Conference at FIU. The Tri-University Conference is an event that brings together students, faculty, and researchers from three universities for academic exchange and collaboration. The annual conference is a shared tradition of Florida Atlantic University, the University of Miami, and Florida International University and is open to, but not limited to, the disciplines of law, medicine, public health, political science, economics, anthropology, sociology, modern languages, literature studies, religious studies, and history.
The Conference included four sessions where students from the three universities delivered presentations of their research and fielded questions/comments from the audience. The Conference closed with an awards ceremony to reward students for their academic achievements. The winners were: first place award at $300- Alejandro Casas (FIU), second place award at $200- Nardia Lipman (UM), and third place award at $150- Janny Mauricio Velasco (FAU).
