2. "The Extractive Industries in the Guiana Shied" by Mr. Mavrick Boejoekoe.

The extraction of natural resources has significantly contributed to the economic growth of Suriname, Brazil, and Guyana. However, this has often been accompanied by the implementation of policies that fail to consider the development needs and perspectives of Indigenous and Tribal Peoples (ITPs) residing in the forested regions of the Amazon. As a result, the livelihoods and cultural practices of these communities are increasingly threatened.
