Crisis in Haiti: An FIU Teach-In

FIU experts on Haiti and issues related to the aftermath of natural disasters will come together this weekend to discuss the current situation in Haiti and begin to look forward after Tuesday’s devastating earthquake.

Presenters will explore a variety of topics including critical issues in earthquake recovery, economic ramifications for Haiti, the role of the Haitian Diaspora in relief/recovery efforts, the role of churches and faith-based charities, rebuilding infrastructure, and migration.

The discussion, organized by the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), will be led by FIU’s experts on the region including:
