The Cuban Research Institute (CRI) in SIPA’s Latin American and Caribbean Center presents “Cuba: El arte de la espera,” an award-winning documentary about the return of a Cuban exile to his small hometown formerly dominated by the sugar milling operations of the United Fruit Company. Filmmaker Eduardo Lamora will introduce and discuss the film. The screening is the U.S. premiere of the documentary and will take place on February 11, 2010, at 7:30 pm in the Graham Center Ballroom at FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus. The film will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles.
