9th Annual South Florida Latin American and Caribbean Studies Graduate Student Conference

This year's conference, titled "Cultural Identities of the Americas in a Global World," will feature student-produced papers in a wide range of disciplines related to Latin America, the Caribbean and Latino populations in the United States.

The Graduate Student Conference consists of different panels with topics ranging from immigration to music, film and even archeology. Top papers are published in the South Florida Journal of Atlantic Studies and the authors are awarded cash prizes . Winners are announced at the conference.

The conference is co-sponsored by LACC and MALOKA, the graduate student association for those studying Latin American and the Caribbean at FIU, along with the centers for Latin American Studies of University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University.
